Another packed day of phases at Royal Jump today with the 4*S kicking off this morning’s challenges and that soon ran into a rapid change of the leaderboard.  Tim and Jarillo (Milo) saw their podium place slip off the radar when Milo ran out at fence 6C which was early enough for Tim to put his hand up and walk home.  Tim described Milo’s drive by as “cheeky” which is a fair appraisal to say the least.  It wasn’t going to plan for a fair chunk of the competitors and Milo wasn’t the only one to walk home for sure.

It was a consolidating day for Jonelle with her 2*L horses as LSF The Boss very nearly won it but hitting the back of an oxer at fence 5 meant she ended up in 5th which is still a great first international start for Boss.  J’Orange (Daisy) jumped clean just adding 1.2 time which  also ticked off her first international and moved her  up into 14th which, after her spring campaign became a little chequered, is a great result.

Gloire de Marchenval ( Louis) and Indian Tonic (Indie) both had a long wait to go cross country in the 3*S but both came home with clean sheets.  Louis added some 18 time for his hack around and return to the big stage and fair play to Indie, she hasn’t been on great form all week but she battled through to add 14 time for her own MER at 3S with Jonelle.

It’s been a tough long hot week but the kids have been along for the ride and have had a great half term, all the horses are coming home safe and sound and its a pretty quick turnaround for Tim’s horses to head out to Kronenberg for the next international.  No shiny trophies this week but who knows what next week will bring!
