A busy hour and fifteen for Tim and his crew out in Lignieres with four horses to jump in the main arena. It was windy and overcast with occasional sunshine spells and a hugely threatening black cloud approaching overhead by Tim’s last horse!
Garcon (Tibo ) was first in and he did a good job of his first advanced international, just tipping two rails whilst really not doing allot wrong. He has a really quality canter and good technique so there are no doubts about him for the future and he will have come on heaps for the experience this week.
Not long after Global Quest (George) cantered in and he is much more experienced than Tibo having won Lignieres 4*L a couple of years ago and he looked relaxed and happy and jumped a lovely clear with just 0.4 to add being 1 second over time.
Falco looked bright and buzzy and delighted to be jumping in a main arena again, even if after Versailles nothing is going to measure up. But when it comes to jumping Falco never changes his style, be it at home, in a muddy field at a one day or an international, he always gives it his all and simply loves it. He gave Tim a super spin and, as usual, stayed on his dressage score.
Jarillo (Milo) was the last horse in and Tim would have been happy to see the warm up get quieter and emptier as his time neared as it is not Milo’s happy place at all. Milo is no slackard over the poles either and he jumped an assured clear to keep his lead over Falco.
Tim has three in the top 12 and Tibo sitting a bit further back as he starts his last 4*S cross country of the year tomorrow. What a class bunch of horses to have to ride and let’s hope the sun comes out tomorrow. Cross country starts at 09.30 CET and is live on ClipMyHorseTV.
