More sunshine for Tim and Global Quest (George) this afternoon at Kentucky and they simply owned the big arena with a personal best at their second 5 star start with a 29.8.  That’s quite the jump from 34.9 at his debut in Pau last year and they looked a beautiful secure partnership with George having such a great reach in his outline and an over all display of utter harmony.

Not surprisingly Will Coleman  and Diabolo bested them for a couple of points ahead with a stunning test that played to all of Diabolo’s strengths with a 26.5. Diabolo has long held a reputation for leading the first phase at all of his events.   Dressage rarely plays a huge part at Kentucky though and Tim and George are definitely off on the right foot from the get go.

Tim was asked why he keeps flying horses over to Kentucky and he was happy to reply that he loves the surfaces, loves the track and loves the welcoming atmosphere.  It’s a brilliant start to the event and fingers crossed it continues tomorrow when Vitali gets to knuckle down to some work and put his best foot forward late on Friday.
