Sunny and windy up at the 4*S show jumping on Sunday morning with both The Highlander (Ivar) and Garcon (Tibo) having flown through their 8am jog.  They ran the individuals first for the showjumping so Tim was very early to go with a big and technical course to jump and a tight time to think about as well.  As it panned out only 9 combinations out of 71 that came forward to showjumping actually jumped clear in time and Ivar came very close to joining that select band with a superb clear adding just 0.4 for time.  It was a great start to the day and a double clear at your first 4*S at eight years old  is pretty cool.

Tibo had his eyes on stalks when he rocked up at the entrance having warmed up in the relative peace of the indoor and Tim said he started off lacking a little focus.  He had the back rail off the triple bar and Tim said fence 2 was his fault but then pulled himself together to jump clear around the rest of the track.  He was in good company with his faults and Tim said he would have learnt allot from the experience and he walked back down the hill very pleased with himself!

Just Brookfield Future News (Matthew) left to go with his cross country and Matthew was delighted to be the centre of attention in the early afternoon.  Tim has run a couple of OI’s slowly and he let the handbrake off a bit for the 3*S as it was a great opportunity to learn a bit more about each other and a great fittening run with the hills as well.  Matthew thought 3 star was great fun and he and Tim looked a proper team as they skipped around the course coming home with just 2.8 time and moved up to 4th spot without even really trying.

So another really successful trip for the three boys and Tim very happy with all of them.  Congratulations to Arville for running a huge show so well!
